Carrie M. Wiley

Kids Ministry Advocate | Family Discipleship Champion

I help kids ministry leaders move from filling roles to caring for souls. My heart is to build healthy volunteer cultures and create simple discipleship rhythms that help kids and families grow in Christ.

What I Do

Helping leaders thrive as they shape the next generation.

Thriving kids and family ministries begin with healthy leaders.

Through resources and coaching, leaders are equipped with the tools and encouragement they need to disciple kids and nurture families in faith.

Resources

I love creating tools that make discipleship simple, clear, and doable. From curriculum and family discipleship guides to leader development resources and training sessions, I design practical tools that can fit easily into your ministry context.

Coaching/Consulting

I speak on practical and spiritual leadership topics that help kids ministry leaders build healthier teams. Popular topics include volunteer culture, discipleship rhythms for families, building sustainable systems, and leading from a place of spiritual depth.

Speaking

I work with churches and ministry leaders who want to strengthen their kids ministry. Whether you need help clarifying your vision, building out systems, encouraging your team, or shaping a healthier culture, I walk with you step by step to create something that lasts.

About Carrie

If we were sitting across from each other with a cup of tea, I would tell you that I love the local church and I love the people who serve it. I currently serve as the Kids Minister at Mars Hill Church, where I get to shepherd leaders, partner with families, and build a ministry that grows deeper roots every year.

I am passionate about helping leaders create sustainable systems, strengthen volunteer culture, and form teams that feel like a spiritual home. I believe kids ministry is most powerful when it is relational, intentional, and grounded in the gospel. My joy is to come alongside churches and leaders to encourage, equip, and support the important work they do.

Featured Breakout Session:

From Filling Roles to Caring for Souls – This session is designed to help kids ministry leaders rethink how they approach volunteer culture. Instead of scrambling to fill empty spots, we explore how to build a team that feels valued, connected, and spiritually supported. You will leave with practical steps for creating a ministry culture where leaders stay, grow, and thrive.

“Carrie has been an incredible gift to our children’s ministry at Lighthouse Church. She’s brought her coaching and consulting expertise into a ministry context in a way that’s practical, encouraging, and transformative. She has a unique ability to see both the big picture and the small details, helping leaders grow while also improving systems that serve families and children. Carrie carries a deep love for people and combines it with wisdom, strategy, and genuine care. She’s made our ministry stronger and our team more confident.”

JOEL WOOD, Lead Pastor Lighthouse Church

Carrie has been a dear friend for a couple of years now. Last year, Carrie helped speak life into me and helped fuel me to serve in children’s ministry better than I was before. I’m better in many ways because of her presence in my life!

LEXSEY CARPENTER, Kids Pastor Narrate Church

“Carrie has been an encouraging, professional, and spiritual voice in my ministry and leadership as a pastor. Many times I’ve gone to her with questions, ideas, or simply needing to process something regarding children’s ministry, and she has always helped move the needle and inject vision into it. I believe she is one of the brightest and most called children’s pastors I have ever known. Her passion for raising warriors for the Kingdom of God and her commitment to walk alongside families through every situation is contagious and not going away any time soon.”

CURTIS THOMAS, Campus Pastor Bridgepoint Church

The Wiley Family

I am a wife to Kyle and a mom to four very busy teenagers. Our life is full of schedules, sports, school, and everything in between, and most days we are simply doing our best to navigate it with honesty and a sense of humor. We are learning how to follow Jesus in the middle of real life, not outside of it, and trying to pay attention to the places where God shows up in our everyday rhythms.

Most of our family life happens in the in-between spaces. We talk in the car. We debrief the day while cleaning up dinner. We remind each other to breathe during busy seasons. We try to practice simple discipleship rhythms, but real life often means adjusting and trying again tomorrow. It is a full house and a full schedule, but it is also where we see God shaping us through the ordinary moments. Our family is learning, growing, apologizing, and starting over like everyone else, and we are grateful for the grace that meets us each day.
